Single-ended Class-A

The circuit layout of the ROWEN preamplifier is based on the Single-Ended Class-A technology. This layout is known from the tube amplifiers and has relevant benefits over conventional transistor layouts. Single-Ended Class-A circuit has no crossover distortion, small signals are fully respected with all the details and the music is amplified in its natural purity.

Core of the development was the perfect dynamic sensitivity of the input stage to the importance of the dynamic signal conversion and the psycho-acoustic principles. Only like this a preamplifier can transfer music signals from all sources (CD, Phono, ...) with full dynamics and transparency. Special ODS switching circuits of the input stage (optimal dynamic sensitivity) provide a dynamic sensitivity that is up to 10 times better than in the usual transistor circuits and is still 2-3 times higher than in triode tube circuitry.
